31 March has passed now what?

Apart from the barrage of annoying emails, it hasn't really affected me at all.
I have an ANZ gold FF card that was direct earn anyway.... but now I'm looking around to see what other cards have to offer.

If anything, the whole hoopla has just served to make me investigate what other options are out there to maximize FF credit card points, without necessarily being locked into direct earn.

What's come out of it for me, is that I'm now leaning more towards putting CC points earn to AAdvantage (via Amex) and not to Qantas FF unless i need to use the visa.

For me, stayed with my Amex MR supplemented by a direct sweep NAB velocity visa, although not that relevant, as I have moved outside of Australia and therefore my AUD cc spend not that significant.

Interesting that these poll results seem to be roughly consistent with the polls on transferring points as well.

However looking at the results in combination with some comments, it sounds like at least in this admittedly well informedsample that only 17% of people have gone exclusively direct sweep with QF. Which doesn't sound terribly successful. Although maybe, just maybe, the whole initiative was to get points into the program to prime it for sale, and worry about ongoing contributions later.

I have a strong feeling though that this forum is not representative of most cardholders....and that the majority of QFF members probably switched over as they would see QFF as where they would use their points.

However I would also imagine that the apathy sentiment will have been a factor too with many (outside of this forum...) just sticking with whatever their status quo was.
