4 Velocity rewards plus credit card rewards

Westfield cards arrived. Logged in and purchased new westfield cards with two of these cards (just checking to make sure before I go too far) and have been told that I qualify for more velocity points!

That's what I wanted to hear! Mine should arrive on Monday.

Free postage has stopped on these - which does add to the price a bit. Also you can't use more than one gift card at a time so it means you have to pay for separate postage for each item you purchase with a gift card - so the cost is rising. I'm thinking i'd prefer to have confirmation of the points coming through for someone before i buy too many more. Anyone?

Yeah. Given this and the fact that none of us have heard boo about the points posting, I think I'm going to cut my losses now, give up on this little exercise and see if I can go and get the money out of the XS card from an ATM

First xs card arrived today, ordered December 31st. Also received an email today that this card was faulty, and a replacement was being couriered out. So not a great result so far.

There is an additional issue. As well as some gift cards, I also ordered a few small items I needed at the same time. Of course what appears as one transaction at the front end is in fact 3 or 4 different stores with headquarters in different states. No wonder my credit card company read these as suspicious transactions, and what a fun time I had dealing with 4 different stores when they tried to process my order only to find the card had a temporary block on it.

This appears to be a fairly critical flaw in the westfield online portal; if you buy from half a dozen stores, just like Westfield would want you to in their actual shopping centres, you are likely to get a call from the card issuer.

At least I shouldn't have this issue when I use the xs card to pay...

Looks like the 2x points has been extended, with the points now posting as well confirming its a goer! So a $200 card, nets 808 points for a cost of $7.90!

Just an update on this, the system no longer lets you pay for a gift card with a gift card, in case any one was thinking of churning these gift cards over.

I rang up the helpline and they said they had a policy of having max $200 and that you couldn't buy the higher denomination cards through the main site only through the Westfield gift card site and these are ineligible for earn. So these don't seem to have too much value considering that you are paying $5 per 200 in fees not incl. postage and maybe clearing max 5.5 points per dollar for the card. Only way it would be worth it is if you could withdraw cash and deposit to get interest free period/earn as well.

Another possibility is foregoing the bonus points and buying high denomination if you can't pay for something on credit card ie rent. I can but I know a lot that can't where you can pay through post Bpay over EFTPOS.

Another idea is buying VCards from 7-11 fuel stores or BP with the Platinum Edge card (contact me if you want to get an extra 5000 points) at two points per dollar then using this Visa to pay for things.

I have done a quick google search and these Vcards cards don't seem to come up. The BP gift cards seem to be only of use to buy petrol at BP stations. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance

nah. There is no such thing. This whole site is about learning stuff and being helpful
I am sitting at my computer doing other stuff and thinking of ways to use this card at the same time. I loved it that at one time you could use these cards to buy more of them. And get points as it went around. The powers that be obviously worked it out in the end
If you have any ideas love to hear them here or in the dedicated thread. There have been requests for "discretion" about any "way out there" ideas however.

You still need to find places that stock it, many seven 12-1s only stock 250 max now
