Just received this offer from VFF (may be targeted).

Book by 07/08/19. Travel dates must be between 30/07/19 and 23/06/20.

As with most offers, 50% bonus is only applied to base points. Not as good as double or triple points offers of past, but might still be of some use to AFF members.

I got it as a Plat, but partner also a Plat did not.

Maybe the email blast is grinding thru?

With over a million Velocity points I have never used, a few more seems a bit mean, and I assume most higher tier flyers will not get excited to rush out and book extra travel at under double points?

I received the email and so did my +1 (both Plat).

This household got one double points offer due to not travelling recently.

Also received. Red member.

Won't be using it either. Just recently booked on QANTAS.

Nothing for me and I have a couple of flights to book. I never seem to get these from VA.

Transferred to SQ that’s 2 x return suites to Europe or US 😲

Either they stagger sending it out, or its indeed picked to encourage non regular flyers to fly.
I am VFF PS and haven't got it, my mum is VFF NR who does not fly too regularly, she's older, she got the email.
Go figure.
I am flying VA J BNE - AKL already booked, might fly VA back AKL - BNE, granted VA does not fly any wide bodies trans Tasman, love them things, (wide body planes that is).

My dad and mum who have dormant VA accounts not used in years received a fixed point incentive of 2,500 bonus one way or 5,000 return for a booking. As a plat I received the 50% offer. Does anyone recall many VA promotions that have been personalised to this level before?

No offer for me. I'm flying Virgin next week though, so perhaps it is just targeted at members with no current bookings.

'Loyalty' is punished as normal. Only a 50% bonus for me...

A $20 discount if I book through the VA app however.

VFF Red - I've received this email too, this morning. Won't be using it this time - made a booking with JQ last night

I am Platinum VFF - received 50% bonus point offer.
My 2 x kids are RED - received 100% bonus points
Saw the 100% on facebook, tried to register, not eligible!!

That's certainly the right way to treat your premium clients!!! (not)

Mrs Jase and I are Plats and got the 50% BP offer, our son who I gifted Gold to got the double points offer.

I got double points offer as well (as Gold, no flights recently but 2 returns booked in next month), just after Qantas gave me a triple points offer. Sorry VA, QF wins...unless you sweeten the deal with a DSC ;)

I received the double points offer on Tuesday. Currently I'm Gold but just about to go back to Plat. Did a lot of VA flights in the first half of the year but slowed down recently with just 2 bookings currently in the system for the next couple of months. I have some more business travel to organise for later in the year so might look at booking it under this offer ... or should I wait for a DSC promotion?
