Yes I was looking at SYD-HNL awards for 4 people and the taxes were like $1400 for Y awards! Might as well book on Jetstar!
...so the 28K points saves a whopping $95.
I agree but SQ want over $1000 each SYD-BKK return for 25 February departure and 05 April arrival. I can't wait for a sale and my dates are not flexible as I'd like to be away during Catholic Easter and return for Orthodox Easter.

As a WP, I found four passengers in QF F for DXB-MEL with two toilets, and 2-3 FAs was still amazing. Business has lie flat seats and is great, but First takes things to a whole other level. I'd like to do First again, but my recent return trip to LHR (successful upgrades both ways) may well be the only time I do it, especially with First being axed from QF9 come late March next year.I am of the view that if you have say SG or WP then the difference of a economy and business class ticket shrinks by a bit since you would get all of the on-the-ground priority in both cases, so the only difference would be the seat on the plane (assuming you ate you share in the lounge). In another words, you don't get all of the benefit on J class because your FF status already gives you the some of the perks as if you are flying J.
Same can be said between economy/business and first for WP holders.
I saw those but not sure I can credit those fares to any program as they would be non earning? Also no lounge access other than possibly Priority Pass but have wife and daughter. If I am gong to do that then may as well go Scoot.TG have a sale on just now.
$735.16 for those dates.
I need to fly Devonport DPO to Washington IAD early feb and thought I could use the 50% offer. Unfortunately, the taxes are very high and on this route it became too complicated due to the eligible sectors.
HOWEVER, when I check the Amercian Airlines website I find loads of perfect flight options with half the $$ cost even. Trouble is how do I get 80,000 points from my Qantas FF program to the AA Admiral club scheme??? Maybe someone here has 80k AA miles who'd like to transfer them to me and I trasfer 80k to your QFF account??
