54 Days on the Moon

You may have noticed quite a few narrow houses in this area. Most were of 4 stories so no area for a lift so it was up a circular staircase such as this one in a shop.

On the outside a pulley system to get larger or heavy objects up to the higher stories..

Now came our rest stop at this 200 year old cafe run by the same family.

So a drink called Horchata made from tiger nuts with copious sugar. Quite sweet.

Served with a local pastry.

Another fan of your great pictures of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. I am now seriously annoyed that we missed visiting it. Looking closer I see that it was designed by the same architect as the Palau de la Música Catalana. Another superb Art Nouveau building in Barcelona.

The building work on the exterior of the Sagrada Familia has progressed noticeably since we were there in 2018. Of course it is entirely transformed since our first visit in 1976. It was pretty easy to tour it in those days.
