54 Days on the Moon

In these small streets I did find a couple of the recommended pizza places but they were still closed or had a crowd of people so I kept going.
Every second restaurant was selling pizza but you couldn't see a pizza oven which you could in the recommended places. They all looked the same so with apologies to Malvina Reynolds and others wo sang this song.
Little boxes, little boxes
And they all had a piece of pizza
and they all looked just the same.

I just couldn't help having that song go through my head for some time afterwards.
But back to boring old buildings.

I was now on one of the main streets which led back to the port. Let me tell you that the traffic here in Naples is crazier than I have seen elsewhere in Itally. You are not safe even on a Pedestrian crossing with a green walk sign. The motor cyclists will still come through.

On one intersection a light truck came roaring around an intersection as I was about to step onto the crossing. Fortunately I saw him in time. But if something had happened he was prepared for on the back of the truck was a coffin.

Back again to the buildings.

Then lunch at Kaiseki. They had a new member of the team from Thailand. She was pleased that I recognised she had a Thai name.
I had sashimi followed by a beef bowl.

Mrsdrron wasn't feeling hungry and had a California roll and salmon sashimi followed by coconut ice cream.

The TR will come back to life in the next few hours 3 days ago the computer began to play up. It is old having been bought in 2012 and it has Windows 8 which is no longer supported. Yesterday nothing worked so eventually did the Universal computer fix . I turned it off. I discovered it doesn’t always work as when I turned it back on Windows said it needed to be activated but nothing worked when trying to activate it.
I tried to do a restore but despite getting the message that all files, pictures, downloads wouldn’t be affected they all disappeared. I thought this was a terminal event. But when we got back from our excursion I left it in the hands of the IT manager on board who spent just over an hour on it but salvaged it even to getting Picasa and all photos back though on this trip I have been copying them to an external drive.

Not totally fixed and can’t access several sites including all email sites. But can access and use AFF and CC. Can access email and banking from my phone through for the TR it is as slow as a wet week .

There is such a person on every ship and always find time to help. I dropped the Computer off at 1630 and he was only available from 1700. Went back to Reception just after 1800 and he had just finished and was handing the computer over to the Reception staff.
On our last cruise our butler was very good with IT problems. Always someone to help.

So that night it was a change to the Pool grille and Hot Rocks. Mrsdrron decided to go again with the lamb cutlets as she loves them but only cooked well done. So she likes being in charge of the cooking. I went for the signature dish with a range of meat and fish choices. I just wanted ton try it but once is enough and I will go back to the fillet steak next time.

About 1030 I went into town for a walk. Wandered around the old town with it's narrow streets. Lots of people and motorcycles which didn't care that they were not allowed in some pedestrian only spots. Though the biggest problem in those places were electric bikes and scooters which you don't hear coming with many of the users going at high speeds. Sorry but they should be banned from those areas.

So now a pictorial of my wandering. I went up the stairs rather than catching the shuttle. Need to burn off some of those excess calories. You come out in a little square.

Had to fight my way through a couple of large groups of school kids on excursion. So went into the church and forgot to remove my cap. An old nun was doing some tidying up and gave me a look that I am sure was meant to kill. Quickly removed the offending cap.
