Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

My daughters told me she would be happy in Macca's. They both don't care much about the lounge. Anyway, my option would be to nicely ask the lounge dragon.
Will the staff know their age unless you tell them…? “I’m guesting my partner and two children…”. Sure, wouldn’t suggest you lie if they ask for their ages.

they won't have access to pax personal information such as BOB. However, i expect that they will scan the boarding pass and the system will indicate entry eligibility. they can either override the system or just waive us through (I hope).

With a long haul F into a long haul J, would there be F lounge access at transit?

JL F > QF J @ SIN.

No. Oneworld rules only provide for long haul to short haul or v.v.

Long haul to long haul doesn’t qualify, unless you have relevant FF status.

Individual OW airlines may have more generous access if you are connecting between their own flights. For example CX->CX.

But not in your case.

Fancy that. I was only watching a YouTube trip report on this last night. The JL F hard product sure is impressive. I was rather disappointed with the champagne on the reported flight though. He scanned the menu so quickly (even on rewind) I made out one of 2 champagnes on offer was only the Charles Heidseck vintage. It's a beautiful champagne but when others are serving Dom Perignon, Krug and miscellaneous Gran Cru, it just seem cheap. There was no caviar either. I bet it was still a memorable flight for your brother.
QR J is no downgrade from the QF F in SIN either. Ala carte menu, champagne. Lucky brother.

Flying QR regional F DXB-DOH then J DOH-GYD, can I get access to the Al Safwa lounge? I’m struggling to find anything authoritative on access if arriving in F.

Hi guys, hope you're doing well.

My partner and I are flying below all Y:
  • ADL-MEL - QF
  • MEL-NAN - FJ
  • NAN-MEL - FJ
  • MEL-ADL - QF
I don't have QF status (at all..) but I do have QC, partner would just be a guest.

Understand access to lounge for the first and fourth leg should be fine.
But would I be able to access MEL and NAN lounges for second/third leg?
I've read around that quite a few people have had success with FJ joining OW in full in Q1, but wasn't sure if there was a set-in-stone ruling that says I can access the lounge or if i should try it anyway/risk the walk of shame.

Thanks all! :)

You'll only be able to access the MEL J lounge if you booked the QF codeshare flight operated by FJ. Those FJ/OW changes only affect members with FF status, not QC.

And furthermore, I believe you won't have access at NAN regardless of flight number - but the lounge there takes Priority Pass if you have that.
