If you can book with that on the one booking you will be 'protected' should a misconnect occur.

Have you checked out for example LA To HNL to Nadi to Sydney ? or even Nadi to brisbane then on way back Bris - Syd then Nadi to LA?


Not sure of the SC but may be worth looking at?
