Memo Mr Joyce: place an order for a fleet of 747-8s, please. There are lots of loyal QF flyers who simply don't like Scarebus aircraft.

Mr Joyce, please order a fleet of 747-8's please please please please... :)

Private Airbus A380 To Get A Gold Paint Job

If l had a choice, l would go the 747-8 over the A380. (Keep dreaming Oneworldplus2...)

I see that aircraft was the 3rd prototype so it’s odd it still hasn’t been delivered. Hoping to see a photo of the finished paint (or lack thereof) job (because I’d guess the Prince wouldn’t be showing off the inside) soon.

You go girl. I think that she looks great.

Hope that she gets more orders too!

I think there is over 100 orders so far which is pretty good considering the minimal costs for this plane when compared to the A380.

240 A380 orders...

I think your right, I also think because of the lower development costs the 747-8 will make a profit for Boeing before the A380 makes a profit for Airbus. I think I remember reading somewhere Airbus still needed another 150 orders before the project was in the black! Big numbers for a big plane

I was referring to orders for the passenger version,as far as I know as of February there were only 38 orders for the passenger 747-8,the rest is for the freighter.
Cheers

A win is a win, only the seat manufacturers lost out.

Boeing will begin sending its first 747-8 Freighter test aircraft to its Global Services & Support site in San Antonio, Texas, next month as it winds down the flight testing in anticipation of certification and first delivery to launch customer Cargolux.

Is it boeing or I'm not going ?
In reality you wouldn't get far without airbus these days. Even in the US.

About 10 years ago a poster with a B737, B747, and B727 in Ansett livery, was doing the rounds stating :-

BOEING
BOEING
GONE

Cheers Dee
