763 Domestic seating

I have sat in 23E  on a ZX after my early morning QF74 SYD-MEL (744) was XLD at 12 hours notice - no other reasonable forward seats available and I had to go straight to a meeting.

It was not too bad for my 6' frame.

As for aircraft subs? I've been on 25J in an international config when a ZX was subbed and I was moved to the 50's. There's not row 25 on the ZX's. (Eventually flew in exit row 43).

In my opinion, and from personal experience, avoid 23E on international configured 767s. If there is a late aircraft substitution you will find yourself in a middle seat or looking for an aisle seat further back in the cabin.

But then again maybe others are not as jinxed as I am regularly....

So its not just you ! every second time i fly a 767 it seems to get subbed, not late or anything the change must have been planned during the day, but to be fair its often the last or almost last flight of the night that i take SYD-MEL so if anything has had a problem during the day you have a good chance of a sub.

For short trips honestly i really don;t care much, just give me an isle somewhere sort of near the front and i am happy.

I don't mind either but when I had 23E and the aircraft was substituted there were no aisle seats available when I boarded the flight so I had to sit in the middle seat for a few minutes. How lucky was I when one of the other FA's came back and said that 27J or 28J was vacant as 2 people failed to board the flight.

So my record of not sitting in middle seats continues. And by the way 23E middle seat was not too bad but that is not where I want to sit even if only a short flight. I would prefer an aisle seat even if down the back....

At least 23E in the ZX has space under the partition to insert one feet for those few extra inches ...
