Personally, I think this is a keeper card. Currently overseas using it willy nilly -even via samsung pay. essentially no forex fee.

No regrets so far! Just waiting on 80k

Just got my email from ANZ rewards to enter my velocity number. Was getting a bit worried that I would have to call them up so a bit relieved.

Did it require one phone call to complaints, or more?

Just one call. I advised them the guy who took my initial call, was adamant that there were NO offers of any Velocity points. I requested I wished to escalate a complaint and was given the Tel no. She sorted it out within 2 minutes.

Love this card much.
Just came back from Japan and used it for major purchases like accommodations and car rentals and the exchange rate that Visa used was much much better than what I had in mind.

I applied for this 18 Sept. Approved 9 Oct (LOTS of faffing about and questions - they asked for bank statements and went over those with a fine tooth comb - unsure why, I earn quite a lot with minimal outgoings). Was overseas so didn't activate until today, immediately paid a $2k bill so let's see if it all works automatically.

Received my 80K points yesterday. Overall I’m very happy with how smoothly this whole process went.
The only reason I was a bit pessimistic was cause of other members reporting how early they received their activation code.
I received my activation code promptly after hitting minimum spend, then about a week after submitting details I received my bonus points. Very happy in the end! Now to claim the free domestic flight!!

Consider me impressed, just noticed 80k bonus points credited to my velocity account not soon after I qualified. Haven't had to grovel for it like I did with NAB (still unresolved).

Glad to have a non amex card I can use on apple pay and a no intl transaction fee card.

Hit my minimum spend on the 13th (6 days ago now). No email as yet for activation code.

Have just put through my first payment on the card that covered annual fee and rewards fee - does anybody know if this is required to trigger it?

I've got to call up and get my lounge passes anyway so will wait another day or two then see what's going on.

did you receive a welcome to ANZ rewards email, sign up for an account with us? The velocity code was part of that email.

Couldn’t be happier with this one. MrsNoName applied about 4 weeks ago, uploaded a couple of payslips and was approved the next day. Received the card a few days later. Met the spend requirement in about a week. Received the email with bonus points code last week, entered it to the website and points were in last Friday. Very efficient process. Well done ANZ.

Very prompt with crediting the points. Received the email last Wednesday to give them my Velocity no. and points arrived on the Friday so took only 2 days. Now to book the flight from Perth to Melbourne so will get good value out of this card.

Just realized that my bonus 80k points posted a couple of days back after hitting the minimum spend in the 2nd statement.
Impressive.

Whoops missed that! People had mentioned two emails so was waiting for a second one but I went back and found the code and did the online submit thing.
Hopefully on a few days for them to come through and then off to KF.

My 12 months wait is up at the beginning of Jan and this goes until end of Feb so will be getting myself and my partner on this one.

My Velocity points also came through relatively promptly. Thanks OP for bringing this offer to my attention back in October!

The sign-up bonus on this card was handy, but I'm happy enough to keep this card going forward and use it as my regular card. A relatively good earn rate for VA/SQ and no international transaction fees are both positives. The annual VA flight and lounge passes are a bonus.

Anyone used the complimentary travel insurance of this card? The activation is only $250 pre-paid in accommodation or tour before departure. However I could not find out $250 is for all family member travelling together or I have to spend $250 each person? Thanks.

Well, what do you mean by 'use' ?
I recently enabled it with a $250 spend. My recollection of the PDS is it tends to apply only to cardholder
