Hi all,

Looking at booking a ticket return for old lady with 20Kg bag.
I have Velocity, Qantas FF and Tiger can use Mastercard Debit(No fees)

1. Skyscanner app has $146 return and goes to Edreams to book? (Not sure if luggage included)
2. Went to Virgin $360
...............Jetstar $246
...............Tiger $170
3. Would you mix and match\split for better price?

Any comments about booking direct and if there will be an issue with Jetstar/Tiger for Old Lady?
Taken to gate and collected at gate.

If the flight times are close enough, you could price match TT to JQ, at $153. Then add the luggage when booking which will bring it back to about $170.

TT and JQ both board from the tarmac in MEL which means stairs so that may be a consideration. Is the woman reasonably mobile? If not, I would consider VA/QF for the extra attention you could be sure of.

Thankyou for the heads up on the Stairs Tarmac as that will be a factor.....I have travelled on many flights when Virgin has not pulled up to the bridge in Melbourne though too :(
Whats the Virgin Promo code for the discount again please? NPX47 expires tonight!

How to pay to avoid fees?
Poli Pay I note avoids fees!

mmmmm So I cannot book them in and get the Velocity points :( but I can put them on Family list to transfer across into my account?
How Do I put them on family list?

Also what about insurance does VA offer it like JQ ot TT?

Insurance should be offered when booking, but check external providers to compare policies.

If you set the pax to family transfer to you, you should get the SC and points. That should be somewhere on your Velocity home screen - sorry, I haven't done that for a while.

With our traveller @80+ we request wheelchair as no possiblty of using such steep stairs down to Tarmac then across tarmac and then up stairs (particularly in wet) at BNE and MEL. She will have to perch bag (or have it checked)on lap while being wheeled then they go up in lift. All airlines have been respectful

Just an update....booked and got 500 bonus points for their account.
Assuming "preferred address" does not need to be their home on Velocity account.
Ticket only asks for name and date of birth.
Booked an aisle seat.
Used Promo code.
Booked $13.95 insurance
Also paid credit card $7.70 fee as cannot get insurance with Poli.
Very expensive flight...but hey they are worth it ;)
