Current population growth is unsustainable.
It’s sustainable; there just has to be a will politically & from society to properly pay for it, lest the disaster continue getting more disastrous.

Money doesn't solve all woes. :( Personally, I agree with JohnK.

I don't know Melbourne that well but I know Sydney and Sydney was at capacity 15-20 years ago and is still growing. I'm sure Melbourne is the same.

e.g. I took a damaged bag to Mascot last July on a Friday afternoon and it took me ~25 minutes to get out of Mascot and close to an hour to get back to Belmore. That is really unacceptable.

But it only happened due to poor infrastructure; additionally, the only unsustainable part about it would be if you drove, if you caught public transport then it was just annoying & sucky & cough, rather than unsustainable.
