Hi everyone, I've got a last minute trip coming up for work and looking at flight options (virgin is our preferred corporate airline) and noticed the huge cost for Syd to melb with virgin. Is this due to the cyclone? I noticed this more so for Thursday 13th and Friday 14th flights. Also I noticed that the 7pm and a few other flights are not available ? I am not sure if this is due to flight full or just cancelled and merged ? Luckily it's not me that's going to be paying. 😂🤣😂

Likely F1.

Can travel via Bali for about $410.

But also travel to Bendigo for $359 and then uber for $270.

Incredible how expensive domestic travel can get. I was looking at going MEL-PER in a couple of weeks meeting my partner for a long weekend there before travelling home to SIN. SIN-PER-SIN were less expensive than just MEL-PER.

Trying to come home to BNE from ADL a few weeks back VA wanted a minimum of $1200 on a Sunday afternoon for Y without luggage (lowest fare of the day). Peak gouging.

I've noticed J is actually cheaper than Y for some VA flights next week. I guess many people either don't bother checking J, or their corporate policy does not allow booking J.

Be F1 for sure. Crowds are a few 100,000 and many come from overseas and interstate.

But yikes. $900+ .......

A couple of years back when they cancelled it as crowds were streaming into the park must have been fun wearing the lost airfares.

Last week, I begrudgingly booked VA Y CBR-MEL for the 13th for Mrs Happy Dude for $270. Mid $300's now, so Ken Behrens not as keen on the F1 as the Sydneysiders. SYD-CBR-MEL probably cheaper.

I noticed a Business class seat left at $400+
