A bit of humour

Someone recently told me that magpies can recognise faces. So given I feed a number of them twice daily I should be ok. The things that swoop around here are the wattlebirds who are extremely aggressive and fearless, they will have a real good go. Drives our dog crazy

They certainly do recognise people not totally convinced it is facial recognition.
Living in the Hunter Valley magpies nested every year in a tree next door.In spring an adult would fly down ,sit on my shoulder and be fed worms or grubs. But if a person rode a bike down the road the magpie would take off, dive bomb the cyclist then come back and sit on my shoulder.

Moved to the Sunshine Coast and within a week the same thing was happening.Really shouldn't be that they recognised my face.

Jenny Morrison bought Scott a parrot for his birthday. She told Josh Frydenberg the bird is so smart, Scott his already taught him to pronounce more than 200 words.”

“Wow, that’s impressive,” Josh said. “But you do realize he just says the words, but really doesn’t understand what they mean.” “That’s fine,” Jenny replied. “Neither does the parrot.”
