Flying QF 6 departing PER. While waiting to taxi, was asked by CSM if I could do him a "massive favour" by moving from my seat in 5A to 12K to which I responded sorry but I would prefer to stay in my selected seat. He smiled and disappeared in a flash. Feeling bad, later when he was serving lunch I explained I didnt want to move as my back is playing up and I didnt want to risk it by having move my bags and my hefty frame having already settled in. I asked him what reason for requested move was... eg. Medical issue or separated couple? And he replied ..."no, just another pax who didnt want to sit at the back of J..." . Maybe its my friendly face.... or maybe I was the lowest status WP up front?

Resisted the urge to DYKWIA given he obviously did . Did overhear couple in transit lounge (not sure if in from FCO or D stickers) very unhappy about a seating change that had been promised but hadnt happened. Suspect that may have been related.

Today at the Remarkables I witnessed an avalanche.

Fortunately, no one was injured.





I’m no engineer, but I suspect the chocolate bars collapsed under the weight of the grossly inflated prices.
