A Brush with Broome

I’ve booked a week staying at McAlpines old house (now owned by Marilynne Paspaley and run as Pictada). Last big trip I did was Russia late 2019. Enjoyed your posts and kept some notes. I’m doing Horizontal falls trip and Bungle Bungles. 🤞🤞 goes ahead early September

It stopped raining, so we went back out to Cable Beach and scoped Cable Beach Club Resort.

Hard to read, but a memorial to the crew of a RAAF Beaufighter that crashed off the beach in 1944.

And that’s it. It was good to get the bum in a seat on a Flying Machine after the longest absence for decades. :)
Thankyou for this fantastic review of your trip JohnM. I’ve just re-read this thread having cancelled my forthcoming trip to Broome in September due to border Russian Roulette and enjoyed it immensely. My source of travel these days is reading fellow travellers wonderful experiences. Good thing you weren’t taken by a shark (referring to the aquatic creature bot the premier… 🤔)
