Just purchased the slate coloured travel wallet and a Shark Diving Xtreme in Sydney for his Anniversary presents.
Nothing says "I Love you.... now go swim with some sharks" like I do :p

SeatBackForward - did you read the last page in the " passport" book ?

Love that they have a sense of humor within their packaging.

Indeed, there was another one I bought at the same time, and it had tips for speeding through the airport "avoid families and the elderly" it read - bit cheeky I thought.

Just received a Bellroy Travel Wallet today as a birthday gift (after reading this thread). Got the Cocoa with black trim inside. :DLooks great and fits into front jeans pocket easily, where I like to keep my wallet. Will give it it's first run tomorrow morning on QF93.

The leather is nice and soft and the "new leather" smell is bewdiful ;)

OK, so it seems Bellroy is the hands down winner (great to see an Aussie Co. take out the prize) but to me, they always look too small. So to my next question......how many of you have two? One for essentials and one for trivia. We do, after all, have two front pockets but I must admit, I'd have trouble then with where to place my iPhone and keys which normally have a front pocket each (to stop the keys scratching the iPhone face) and the wallet resides in my sucker pocket (thanks to JohnM for pointing out one of my many flaws), a forty year habit will not easily be broken.

Gave husband his today for our Anniversary (30 years tomorrow - but he will be away from AM, so lunch and gifts today)
Not sure when we will get the chance to try it out, prob not until our Adelaide trip.

Those with the Slim Sleeve, have any of you noticed the life span of the credit cards inside the pull out part seem to be reduced? The corners of the plastic seem to peel up much sooner than normal.

Not from my Slim Sleeve - for the past 2 years, various CC's have started to peel and they were in my previous wallet.
Amex, Visa MC - currently the only ones not showing corner peel are one that I just had renewed (expired) and one I asked to be replaced (corner peel was crazy!!!)

I'm wondering if they have changed the way they're constructed???

I only have one - it holds (currently) 10 CCs/IDs, although I could probably add a few more if I wanted to. I'm in BKK these days and their notes don't fit so well folded in halves, so I fold in 3rds which adds to the bulk slightly, as I always need 20THB notes for cabs etc.

It's most definitely slimmer than my previous wallet, and smaller as well - I simply keep the important cards on me and take the other ones I use on the odd occasion when needed.

I've also got some biz cards stashed in the note side as well (which can take CCs also if needed), so all in all if I wanted to, all my cards and cash would fit.

The 2 photos show my Slim Sleeve when I purchased it with a few cards (and some AU notes) and as it looks today, with all my major cards and TH notes.

I have fully embraced the minimalist approach to a wallet and have adopted the 'phallet' (phone + wallet) solution. Currently I use the BookBook from Twelve South for my iPhone5S and it has 4 dedicated slots for cards and ID, including a clear window for items such as drivers licence. I include a fifth card in the area aimed at currency notes, and I can comfortably store all the notes I need folded in half. Coins are simply a waste of space and remain in my pocket until they can be offloaded at the earliest opportunity. I pay for everything I can via card - to minimise the need to receive change and maximise loyalty points.

While this is a very effective everyday solution for me in Australia, when travelling I have an old Eagle Creek travel pouch that may soon be updated to a Bellroy travel wallet after what I have read here and viewing the web site. It looks like a more sleek and stylish version of what I currently use.

From what I have read in this thread, the number of cards people still carry astounds me. As an iPhone user, the Stocard app (seems like Key Ring is the Android alternative) is a great saviour for me to slim a wallet down, especially as I agree with all the comments from chiro/physio about not carrying a (thick) wallet in your hip pocket. My BookBook is either in my side/front trouser pocket or shirt/jacket pocket and works brilliantly as I have one less item to carry or remember.

I look forward to trying out the Bellroy and strongly recommend the wallet slimming program.
