log fire? Are you in HEL?
In Sapporo now (and my apartment/ office has central heating) but I'll be in a chalet in Niseko with log fire tonight  . I'm looking forward to the read.

Good God! How on earth do you find the time to do this? I'm impressed!

Just a minor editing issue you might want to attend to for the sake of completeness: on the second last post of the second page, in the second paragraph :) , there is a link missing. I've highlighted it in bold and italics below:

A MARATHON SEQUENCE OF FLIGHTS continued

Sorry for the delay.

Returning to BKK on the late flight, unexpectedly in first, meant instead of dozing like I intended I had to stay awake to sample the food and drink, and to check out the seat and IFE - purely in the interests of research of course.

The food was yummy, although the satay was prepared quite differently to Singapore's famous satay [link to SQ satay thread here] - cooked differently and sauce smoother and less of it. Same cucumber onion garnish though.

Hey Kiwi Flyer, excellent travel report. Hectic month.

Love the AKL-SYD-CNS-SYD-PER-SYD-CNS-SYD-AKL status/mileage run.

A thoroughly entertaining read thanks Kiwi Flyer - all 80 odd A4 pages. I tried to read it in one session, but had to stop and eat something (became famished reading the posted menus) .

I think mad_atta said it best over on FT:

How did you convince them to let you out of the asylum for a month? Cause you'd have to be certifiable to attempt an itinerary like yours :P .

Well, Kiwi Flyer, finally finished reading the last 2 pages of your tome. No wonder you are ANZ *G Elite, QF Plat and Hilton Diamond...

You haven't thought of AA ExPlat, have you??
