There was a market. the fruit looked good but we decided against trying fig salami.








Not the greatest place for outside seating.

It's Saturday so a wedding is on.

So we were now headed to a Monastery Museum. This lady was a friend of our guide.

Now back to the main square down a couple of the narrow lanes.

This is the groom.


By now there was quite a crowd lined up to get a picture of the wedding including this guy.



The groom was getting nervous with last minute repairs.coffees and I presume once something a little stronger.


He was sweating profusely.


One guest with a distinctive outfit.


But we now had to go uphill to catch a bus to the countryside.

When we got to where the bus was parked I noticed these women all wearing the same outfit.



So I waited to see what was happening. It was the bride.

So off on the bus past the City walls.





Good views on the high road.





Arrived at our first stop. a small family run vineyard.

So a wine tasting with simple but tasty platters.






The wines weren't too bad but the cherry liquer later was beautiful.
Now back to the bus.

A walk down a private road past a couple of houses to the restaurant where lunch is to be served.

We were serenaded throughout lunch by this trio. They weren't bad. asked people where they were from and sang an appropriate song. they certainly surprised a South African couple. For Australia it was of course Waltzing matilda followed by I come from a land Down under and give me a home amongst the gum trees.


Lunch was lamb and potatoes and apple strudel. nice comfort food.



Then out to the gardens.




One of the houses had 3 young girls selling figs. Mrsdrron said she would buy some if they let her take a picture. It was a done deal. the figs were really nice.

Back on the ship and the planes were now going overhead on approach.

I then had the lobster bisque.


And for mains Mrsdrron had the lobster salad and I the veal chop.



For desserts I had the special and mrsdrron the Eton mess.

Sunday and we have arrived in Split.The last port before disembarkation.







On the bus and off to an old town- Trogir.
