So a bit after 2000 I drove out to LST.Arrived just in time to see the afternoon light on the mountains.

And a VA2 flight take off for BNE.

Soon after the flight from BNE that I was waiting for.

Soon I was reunited with mrsdrron.She had eaten so it was back to the Hotel Verge.
One of the good things staying here on a Friday night is that on Saturday morning the Harvest market is right behind the hotel.We bought some very nice mushrooms.

I have just had some of those mushrooms sauteed with a creamy garlic sauce and some of this mushroom powder.really nice.
I also bought some of my favourite Southern Sky cheeses.
 
After that we travelled back to the Adams distillery as i had noticed a sign on the house saying please visit our garden.It looked interesting so we did and it was.A huge garden with a great variety of plants and trees.Well divided into different areas.A bit overgrown but still a nice diversion.

So if you visit the distillery pop across and take a look at the garden.And I do recommend the distillery if you like your whisky or gin.

After that it was lunch at Me Wah.
We started sharing Peking duck pancakes and char sui.

Then garlic prawns,deluxe fried rice and truffled mushrooms.

The food was excellent as was the sevice.The food is more expensive than your run of the mill chinese restaurant but definitely worth it.With 2 glasses of sav blanc and 1 of pinot noir the bill came to $165.
A definite recommendation.
 
Lunch at the MeWah reminded me of the high end Chinese restaurants in Dixon Street we used to go to in the 70s.
And the lunch at MeWah was excellent. 🙂
 
So on Sunday we headed south to pick up some crayfish and have lunch with RooFlyer.
We stopped for a while at Swansea as we were a little early.Parked over the road from the RSL/Museum.Sunday so it was closed.
