I opened this thread thinking, here we go, just another wedding (jaded old fart that I am), but that was scotched as soon as I played the video!

What an absolute pearler of an idea and what a sterling way to begin a life of wedded bliss! I think this TR has the potential to be one of my favourites. I loved the video and what a memory to keep. How was that manta shadow for understated but stunning effect ... And I really have to know how much the shark charged you to gracefully glide past at the perfect moment.

I'm in awe at how good that wedding ceremony was. Congrats and I genuinely wish you the very best for the future! Bloody great, mate!

Ditto - I'm just glad we got married a year ago - if the now Mrs K had seen that I am sure it would have been a lot different. Maybe could have put a soundtrack on the video - Rock Lobster?

And I don't bother with 1A these days, I just chat to the Flight Attendants in the serving area, keeping out of their way and topping up my own glass

Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since I posted, There are plenty of excuses I could make as to why I have not posted but to be completely honest I was just having way too much fun.

I will start adding to the story and adding a few photos here and there. I will eventually be uploading a majority of the photos to an image hosting site but I will just do the necessary ones for the moment.

As this is my first trip report as I mentioned earlier bare with me formatting wise.

Also a big thank you to everyone for being so supportive, It has been quite fun reading all of the comments.
And for the record Swanning_it The Ray and Shark glide by's were included in the package haha.

So after our very unusual wedding, we both had to suffer through 2 days of work. and we managed to start our honeymoon on Wednesday.
So we did what every newlywed couple should do and headed down to our local pub only to find it closed :( so we had to make do with The Local Shack. We also did a very similar thing on Thursday only we headed to a different near pub.

Come Thursday night after we had finished packing we eagerly awaited our Emirates Chauffeur to whisk us away to the airport. I am terrible with names but we had a lovely gentleman who got us to the airport in style in a Skoda Superb. And the emirates call centre made sure we got to the airport early so we could enjoy the lounge. But Michelle and I had a great time enjoying a few drinks before the flight.

Now I am sure most people on here are very familiar with the first class offerings from Emirates whether they have flown it themselves or like myself watched countless hours of youtube videos of what's on offer.
We did of course have the mandatory Dom Perignon 2006 and I enjoyed the Hennesy Paradis Extra Rare cognac, We both made sure we drank as much as we could.

We attended the bar as well and enjoyed a few more beverages of the alcoholic nature.

I promise you we are not alcoholics or anything like that we just enjoy a drink and made the most of our amazing honeymoon.
Like I said I have more pictures and I will upload them eventually and let everyone know when they are up.

I will also add to this report at least once a day due to work commitments and expand on the trip report.
If anyone has any questions please ask away.

Coming up next post is our first two hotels of Singapore. Rendezvous and Beach Villas Ocean Suites on Sentosa Island.

p.s sorry if the photos are too big I don't have the option of posting smaller pictures with imagebb. If anyone has any other sites that I can upload more photos quicker please feel free to let me know.

We hope everyone enjoys.

Jay & Michelle.

Please delete the pic showing your boarding pass - too much info there for public. In case you don't check in, I'll alert a mod. :)

First off I will add a bit more detail of our flights before I start posting about the first two hotels we visited.

Both of our flights were on the Emirates A380 and I managed to use the shower on both legs. I must admit this makes the flight so much more enjoyable. Being able to have a good wash is an amazing thing mid-flight. Both of our flights had a bit of turbulence which on the second flight in the shower made for an unforgettable experience.
The staff on both flights were absolutely amazing and made both Michelle and I feel really welcome. I am certain they could tell me were very new to the wonderful world of first class.

I took some pictures of the shower but as you will probably find out I am very far from a good photographer so I will let people who want to know more about the shower youtube it so that it is done justice. I will say about the shower that the heated floor is soo good also.

The food was amazing which I am sure won't surprise many, I took a few photos (some that weren't blurry) so if anyone wants to see please let me know.

About an hour before our flight from Perth to Dubai landed we were given a cake to celebrate our honeymoon that I had arranged with Emirates call centre. The amazing thing was that this was organised 2 days before we departed.

I also made sure that I collected as much of the free stuff as I could including the amenity and writing kits, as well as the cosmetic kits.
The writing and amenity kits have already come in handy many times.

Next I will continue the trip report with the first of our hotels in Singapore, even though I already said that before, sorry.

Jay & Michelle.

When I started booking this honeymoon I was looking forward to the flights more than anything, and seeing as we headed to Singapore via Dubai it meant that we would arrive late at night. We arrived at approximately 10 pm due to a bag loading issue at Dubai airport.

Knowing this we decided to stay at a cheaper hotel than the other two hotels we had booked for Singapore. After a little while of searching, I found that it was quite easy to book a room at Rendezvous Singapore that came with a late checkout which would suit both of us well after so much flying. We arranged for a 4pm check out that in all honesty we didn't use but it was nice knowing that. It gave us the chance to visit the zoo on our first day in Singapore.

Check in was very quick and painless which is always a good thing, especially late at night. The room was quite spacious and had everything we needed including a Nespresso coffee machine.

One thing I found very clever in each hotel in Singapore you had a mobile phone that you could take and use during your stay that was loaded with nearby places such as food and attractions. We purchased some of the Singtel prepaid travel sims so we had no need to use it, but very useful for others indeed.

Now thanks to my computer crashing I had to type this up again so I might not get a chance to continue today with our second hotel which is the most incredible hotel I have ever stayed in. But that will be coming up next.

Stay tuned.

Jay & Michelle.
