Mrs Aplmac and I were flying back from CBR to SYD yesterday evening in Y, after a long weekend to a) do my qualifying status run, and b) celebrate her birthday ;). As we disembark, the CM says "Happy Birthday Mrs Aplmac, would you like a bottle of wine to go?"
Totally unexpected, but very welcome, as it was actually her birthday day. She's LTG, btw.

This is good.

I also travelled with Qantas on my birthday last year. (Business reward ticket)
I got a birthday card from the crew, a dessert (with a cake topper), playing cards, and a keychain.
Domestic or International?

For my birthday last January I did a status run from MEL to AKL in revenue J (actually flew the day prior to birthday, after being bounced from an earlier cancelled flight). Just before landing the cabin manager gave me a really lovely card, on behalf of all the crew. But no wine, and no whine. Our flight attendant made up for even the cancellation by hand-making an absolutely spectacular cup of coffee.

I have had several birthdays flying with Qantas and have received birthday cake in the lounge, once at 7am when I didn't even recall it was my birthday!! It's happened domestically and internationally and crew signed cards in flight, only internationally!! Best birthday recognition however was not mine - Christmas last year in Sydney with red & white PJ's, Santa playing cards, chocolate lollipops and best of all - Grange, woohoo!!! 😉

That happened to my wife, last year PER to BNE (red eye), we were on a reward flight on her birthday, and she got a bottle of wine from the crew.

Also travelled on my birthday several times.
Nothing from QF.
Last year flew MEL MH KUL MH SIN.
Birthday acknowledged on board with a card and a duty free voucher. Arrived at the lounge a very discreet “Happy Birthday “ from the receptionist. Settled in, about ten minutes later was presented with a small cake with candle, and a “happy birthday to you” song.
Nothing, not even a welcome back at the QF F Lounge prior to departure.

Flew last week the day before my birthday...I got a pie...it was about 4cms around and had meat in it...everyone else on the plane got one as well.

Got a Happy Birthday from Customs one year in USA.

Got to be a smartass to Telstra after returning from last trip. The modem had died while I was away so ring Telstra on my birthday...come to the usual ID questions.

Her - When is your birthday
Me - Today
Her - oh, Happy Birthday...what year?
Me - EVERY BLOODY YEAR!
Her - Guess I walked into that one....

I was recently on QANTASLink SYD-CBR two days before my birthday and got a 'happy birthday' welcome onboard, and great service throughout the flight... no wine though!

I had CX HND-HKG-SYD last bday. Got nothing.

Nothing flying QF J on my birthday.
I flew QF SYD-JNB on a revenue J ticket last year on my Birthday - LTG, got nothing. Had one of those crews that didn't want to be there, tried to engage but they skillfully avoided any sort of conversation. Thankfully returning a week or so later the crew were the polar opposite
