Tiki tour around the Somme today. Too tired to make the dawn service.
But managed a couple of sites.
I took my Grandfathers WW1 medals with me this trip, first time they have seen the light of day in nearly 55 years.
I had a moment thinking about him, how lucky he was, and how unfortunate many thousands of valiant young men weren't.
I will need to come back again to this place, and give more time to the experience.
