Lovely report and the voyage looks great - for some. My wife gets seasick on a dewy lawn and I hate the taste of Crayfish :)

So the last 2 posts on getting home from Melbourne. As I said before we only had a 40 minute transit at MEL and our plane landed 20 minutes late.I was worried.obviously the CSM picked up on my worry as when I was getting off he said -"don't worry this is the plane for Brisbane."The panic disappeared. In fact it was only 30 minutes until everyone was onboard and the front door closed.
We got to see another sunrise.

I then nodded off.

So I am very glad we got to do our cruise.Once again a big thank you to @JohnM for his original TR on this cruise. It exceeded our expectations.

And sorry we did find most people we met thought the Premier was a saviour. No middle ground and quite a few portrayed him in very much a negative light. And sorry it wasn't his actions that saved WA.Just look at Tasmania. They did it hard due to the Ruby Princess.but since then a great job. They don't shut off a whole state if the have a case of covid, only the places those cases visited.
And in 11 days Tasmania reaches a year since the last community transmission. So WA there is a better way.

Thanks drron for a great trip report. I always enjoy reading about your very varied travels.

that sounds like such a pain, and i feel for you. but i disagree with your judgemen of mcgowan. the bloke's a legend. we lived in wa til April this year (2021) and were so pleased to be there, safe and free. jus sayin.
Respectfully disagree, we'll be locked up until 2050 whilst he's in charge.

Fantastic ddron! Loved every minute. Having lived in the mid west as a teen I'm ashamed to say I didn't even know about this trip - I look forward to taking my elderly father on it one day.
