A330s out of life

The one thing that stood out to me in that picture is that they spelt Phnom Penh wrong.
I’m going there this year for the first time and I still stop to check the spelling…

Crickey mentioned Vanessa Hudson talking to Finnair for the rest of their 330 fleet (6 excluding the 2 already wetleased to QF) a little bit ago with their article on the state of Qantas Mainenance department.
The Finnair ones are a couple of years younger than the equivalent QF -300s, but if the price is right, may buy them a couple more years. They are likely less abused compared to the QF birds having been operated mainly on long-ish sectors throughout their lives.

Can't see Finnair giving up the aircraft now, particularly with some signs of a solution in Ukraine, which will allow them to redeploy the aircraft on Asian routes.
Agree, I doubt Finnair will want to completely give up the option of expansion post a resolution of Ukraine

I wonder if QF can approach EK for a wet lease on Aus outbound routes to Asia provided the timings provide feeders to routes from Asia to DXB

Hmm just digging around indicates a330s should have 30k Flight cycles and ~100k flight hours so whilst the flight hours are getting up there, it shouldn't have hit the limits.

Perhaps its more so specific parts or engine items that have reached end of life without having the replacement supply available?

That was the same as my musings in post 9 A330s out of life
