Singapore Airlines brings Airbus A350s onto Adelaide-Singapore flights

After years of doing the redeye in the coughpy angled seats of the A330 they've finally changed it - and what a nice step up as well.

Agree. Qatar has already used this bird into Adelaide and just this morning was telling my brother who is Velocity status and therefore travels SQ out of Adelaide to Europe that he should try this plane on Qatar.. He texted me this afternoon after the announcement and we thought someone had been listening into our convo.

The reviews on the SQ A350 are terrible. No room and cross angled sleeping. Qatars on the other hand is stunning and comfortable.

I think the A350 mentioned for this route will have the "regional" seating like the 787.

Yes that's what the ausbt article said, but so far it's not showing up in the seat maps, including the seat selection map.

yeah i've got family flying SIN-ADL over christmas and we could select the seats on the SQ site about 2 weeks ago - 3 seats in J!

"regional"

"Regional" (ie. Medium haul) has nothing to do with changed seating in Business. They've actually removed P Economy and put more economy seats in as the aircraft doesn't need to fly as far (as it can burn more fuel).

Everything I've read about it says the business seat product will be the same as the 787, and not the existing A350 business product. Despite the criticisms of the long range J seats on A350, I would still take long haul A350 J over regional A350 J. Then again regional A350 J looks pretty good anyway, considering that QF use this as their long haul J seat.
