I am wondering how BA will go fitting 90 + J seats in their 380's.

Thanks for the TR, munitalP! Hmm, cheeky weekend away in NZ, sounds good. :)

The window seats mean one PAX faces forward, one backward. I experienced this on BA in J and swore never again hence the centre seating. AKL/SYD, there's not much to see anyway, may be different if not flying over water

All seats on the EK 380 face forwards. The middle two seats are best (E and F) if you wish to be able to talk with your travelling companion as you can put down the privacy screen. All other seats you cant really talk as the seat pods are in the way.

Now you mention it...

Nice trip report! EK's J product is pretty impressive. Their lounge offering seems particularly good - i'm hoping to go on the A380 next year - the bar area sounds great :)

Its all that lovely booze they plaster you with both before and on the flight  Its the best business class AKL to SYD by far!! IMHO

The bar area helped me have:

1. No recollection of customs
2. A repeated conversation with our driver on the way home
3. A cough day the next day

Wouldn't have missed it for the world :)

I can somehow relate to that experience.. repetitively.. Always justifiable tho
