A few months ago I picked up a good AA fare for what I was about to book as a BNE-LAX-LAS/LAS-LAX-BNE. It's a mix of QF & AA flights. So I have my Qantas metal flights as AA codeshare and have two booking numbers.

After booking I went on QF using the QF booking code and did my QF seat allocation.

A few weeks later there were timing changes on the LAS legs which I accepted through the AA process.

Now two months later QF manage booking tells me I need to contact AA to accept changes. I've contacted them by phone another two times and each time AA cannot see anything that needs doing.

Thinking I need to trigger some kind of sync I did change my domestic USA seats on the AA website. No change on the QF end but they did see the new seat allocation.

Any ideas on how to get the QF site to accept that everything is in order?

I have called QF without resolution.

This happened to a booking of my friends, nothing either of us did with AA or QF could sort it out.

Yes that's the reality. When I have time I'll lodge a complaint form and hope that the feedback gets to the right people.

I tried to move from business to first but could not get it done with QF nor AA. It was like going around in circles. Any way the business class ride on AA went ok.
