AA/QR booking and Velocity

I booked flights in J via AA.com (with AA flights numbers) flying with QR (4 flights) and 2 on AA. Has anyone tried to credit the QR flights to velocity? This would requalify me for Platinum before the changes.

If not, any recommendations on where to credit? I’d probably use them for a quick Pacific trip. I do have quite a few AA miles but I don’t travel like I used to and not enough to qualify Platinum Pro anymore. Which is why, I’m focusing just on VA.

If they have AA flight numbers it wont earn anything on velocity.

Use QF FF (or another oneworld airline) number instead.
