I've noticed that it is possible to access the new HTML5 check-in website by browsing directly to it: https://check-in.virginaustralia.com/ - for some reason the VA main site still sends you to the old Flash one.

The new one is actually quite nice and if you login with your velocity account you can easily check-in or retrieve boarding passes for flights that you have already checked-in for.

Now if only VA could make their booking management site this nice!

Nice, though apparently i have no upcoming trips when using my velocity number, when in fact i have three.

I used the new checkin system on my iPhone yesterday, very sleek & worked without problems! Also handy to add the Boarding Pass directly from the browser then into Passbook rather than have to open the link from a text message

Haven't seen any proper announcement about the new system, maybe that's why it's not fully implemented on desktop as yet...?

For a little while now the front page has offered both the web (flash) and mobile (not flash) versions:
For Flash enabled devices, check in here.

For non-Flash enabled devices (e.g. iPad & Android tablets), check in here.

The news here seems to be that they've replaced the mobile check in with this new one. I liked the previous mobile check-in (and liked using it on my laptop), hopefully this one works at least as well.

Web check-in has now been directed to the new responsive check-in app, so the old flash one is now gone.
