Accessing plaza premium lounge in KUL

Has anyone successfully entered plaza premium lounge (departure) in KLIA 1 using Aus Amex platinum card?

Last time i was there, they would only allow customers with Malaysian Amex platinum card

Is this using the AmEx card itself or using the priority pass that comes with the AmEx? I can see priority pass allows access to plaza premium at KILA 1 (this should be irrespective of how you got the priority pass).

Both should allow access- either Amex directly or via PP. but no, have not tried that location.
