Hey, I was just looking at Accor Advantage plus, and noticed that they have member for a day certs. I was wondering, what exactly does this mean, as I thought the ADV plus card was about discounts? or does it get you discounts on dining? also, if anyone has anythign to add on the card in general, I'd be interested to hear.

Every year when you repay your fee they send you a certificate to give to a friend or family. This certificate "entitles the bearer to one night at 10% discount off the best unrestricted rate of the day on accommodation, and up to 50% discount on dining at participating Accor hotels in the Asia Pacific region" (off the website)

I have never used mine and I have been a member for over 10 years.

I like the card. You get 1 x free night (per year) at participating hotels but be aware..... if you want to stay at a good location, say at the Sofitel then you have to book well in advance. (especially on a Friday or Saturday night) And I mean well in advance.... once I had to book 6 months in advance. Also if you don't use the free night you have the option of transferring it to the next year but only if you are an active member. Other than that if you don't use it, you loose it. 50% dining discounts (conditions apply) but also be wary.... not all hotels will honour that and when we were in Launceston last year my wife came on a business trip with me and because Sunday was mothers day... they did not offer the dining discount. They P'ed off a lot of people that day:evil: My wife had to starve... (she's not my mother) I am sure there are more pitfalls and advantages.. Check the website

I've been a member since april last year, havent got anyone to give the cert to...

Also starting to run out of options for the free night deal too :(
