Accor Fast Track to Silver/Gold/Platinum

I'm somewhat confused by the Accor membership cycle. I am currently Accor Plus Gold, until 30 June 2023. I hit Gold both through status points and through a fast track that was running (can't remember exactly which one ticked over first, but would have got there under both anyway). With the new calendar year, my status points have reset to 0. Do I only get 6 months to accumulate the 7,000 status points to retain Gold?

No, you should have the full 12mth calendar year.

Edit: just read that again. Your Gold expires on 30 June or just the Accor+?

I would have thought your Gold runs through to Dec 23 if earned.

This is what my profile shows. I just checked my emails, the Gold was through this promotion, and I subsequently earned the 7,000 status points to hit Gold anyway (in CY22). I believe my Accor+ does expire in June, but shouldn't Gold last until end of 2023 (under both the Qantas promotion and having earned the necessary status points last CY)?

I agree it’s confusing.

Accor is calendar year. So the status showing is what you have until 31 Dec. That’s also the timeframe in which you must accumulate the status nights or status points to determine your status for next year.

The date refers to your Accor Plus renewal date. This is the date on (or just before) when you have to pay for a further year of Accor Plus.

Yes, that is confusing! I don’t have Accor+ so haven’t seen that.

Ibis Biz is a bit more straightforward! Especially if you’re primarily just after the Gold status.

Looks like a form of this is back again. Just need to do the sums on firing this off as “Silver” or pay for Ibis Business to get “Gold” then register?

Edit: or does it matter? ie are Fastrack nights based on status at registration or at time of qualifying stay??
I have Gold with Accor, expiry date is 31/12/2023. I'm not sure if I have the Accor+ ... If I were to sign up for this offer to become a Platinum, I'd be awarded 10/60 nights plus any nights that I stay this year (until 31/12/2023) will count towards my Platinum attainment. This is what I understand.

What is the FCTG corporate thingy and should I wait for a generic offer? what will be different in the generic offer? Apologies for too many questions. Very new to the Hotel loyalty schemes.

As above I paid for IBIS Biz a couple of days ago and was given an expiry date of 31st Jan 2024.

Given that Accor status always runs for whole of the calendar year, I am hoping that my gold is extended for a further year on the basis that I am still Biz until the end of Jan.

On a separate note - I get nothing but errors trying to subscribe following the links in the article above....

I note that the link has the following within it "fast-track-for-fctg-exclusive-clients" along with a Flight Centre Corporate logo - so maybe not for everyone?

Status is always determined on calendar year. Accor Plus spell it out here: https://accorplushelp.zendesk.com/h...my-Status-points-expire-How-does-status-work-

Accor Plus members have their status assessed at the time of your Accor Plus membership renewal. The Status Tier will be assessed based on the Eligible Status Nights or Status points earned during one of the two periods:

  1. The current calendar year to date
  2. The previous calendar year

The highest number of Eligible Nights spent or Status points earned during one of these two periods, will determine your new Status. You will then keep that status until your next membership year.

Yeah, it’s either not started or possibly targeted (not withstanding the likely FCTG limitation).

Yes, if the promo was open and you were eligible, that’s how it works.

Hopefully a general promo returns soon.

I have the very same as you, however my Accor plus ends in August (when I will need to renew) and my gold card says until August 2023.
I am glad to read that I have until the end of the year to earn the required status to retain gold again.

I confirmed via Accor Plus live chat this afternoon that it's the Accor Plus membership that expires in June, and my existing tier will last until the end of the year. As you say, we have until the end of the year to retain gold, or hopefully hit platinum. ;)

Quick question: I'm an Accor+Platinum having reached Platinum in part from the Accor+ accelerator. Checking my account today I see the following:
Screenshot 2023-01-09 at 19.41.53.png
However, when I visit the usual Accor+Fast Track page and sign up for this year, I get an error that the page couldn't be found. Any ideas of what's going on here?

Also as an aside, it doesn't seem like the Accelerator is activated as my first stay of the year at the Fairmont didn't trigger the accelerator:

And I said 'No' to VAT
Just say no to VAT 😂

Aside from that Flight Centre offer, no other Fast Track offers have been released.

i am not sure what you are referring to with regards to the Accelerator.

That screenshot shows status nights, the accelerator applies to ALL points only.
