Accor currently has the following 20 years/20% off promotion:

To celebrate two decades in Australia we're giving you 20% off at over 80 participating Pullman, MGallery, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, ibis & all seasons hotels.

All rates are room only per night for single, twin or double occupancy in a standard room. Valid for stays from 3 July 2011 - 4 October 2011 inclusive booked on the "20th Birthday Offer" at participating Accor Hotels in Australia except for Sofitel, Grand Mercure Apartments and Formule 1 brands. Bookings must be made at least 7 days before date of arrival, are payable at time of reservation and are non-exchangeable, non-refundable and non-transferable. Rates are subject to change and are based on a limited allocation of rooms and subject to availability at time of booking. Rooms in excess of this allocation need not be made available. No guarantee is given that an allocated room will be available at a particular hotel at the time of booking. Accor Advantage Plus members receive their usual discount on each stay booked on the "20th Birthday Offer".

Accor need to monitor their promos more closely. I checked many different hotels during their recent 50% off sale, and found plenty of examples where either the hotel didn't participate, or showed the 50% icon, but only had those rooms available on weekends.

This promo is very similar.

Misleading and shonky is the best comment I can make.

(PS, I did get a huge saving from the 50% off sale ... not going to comment what I saved, and which hotels, but the promo was not the same as advertised).
