I'm sure the download limits will differ between hotels but as far as I'm aware all Accor hotels in the pacific region will be participating in this new incentive.

I really hope this is true, this is one of my favourite benefits on Hilton.

Any source/ confirmation for this? I checked on their website and the latest press release dates back to late June. I hope this is true as I though chargeable internet was a huge drawback - and I actually told them on every survey I completed after stays - but I have not seen any more on this topic at all...

I have an inside source. The official notification will come sometime before or on 1st October.

I got free internet when I stayed last week. I am a platinum member, and have never got this before. I do book via corporate but had stayed a month earlier and didn't get any free internet that time... I thought it was a new deal that my company had struck, but perhaps it had something to do with this?

Novotel Melbourne it was, and the internet was unfortunately not the best. I reverted to my 3G plan in the end.

Re: Accor hotels to offer free internet to Le Club Silver members and above from Oct

Stayed at the Brisbane Sebel, they happily accepted my Le Club Accor Silver but denied the free internet. When I checked the T&Cs on the website sure enough there is a footnote that this 'benefit' is only available at Novotel hotels, other Accor brands are by discretion of the property management.

Unfortunately I travel lots but stay less (daytrips mostly) so for me the airline programs are much more important than the hotel ones, but I must say that I am pretty unimpressed with Le Club program so far. I think I will give it a bit more, maybe to Gold, but if things don't improve then I'm out.
