Accor Plus Membership Discussion

FYI

Got an email this morning which looks like targeted email acknowledging those not getting 20 status nights and issue been fixed

“I would like to assure you that we identified the issue and on 25 September, all of those members affected received their bonus 20 Status Nights in their account.”

I signed up for the Accor Plus Traveller 4K rewards points version in August. Haven't seen the 20 bonus nights yet, but I don't think they are of any value to me anyway. I made and will retain Platinum or higher on points from herein; likely in or around the 10-20 nights p/a range.

Cheers,
Matt.

I am currently Platinum since the COVID bonus of 21 and then with the 12 month status extension in 22 and the 6 month free membership extension I am platinum until 30/9/23. I renewed the other week expecting to drop to Gold as I didn't re-qualify for Platinum in 22 but checking today I have been left a Platinum until 30/9/24. A system error or have I missed something?
Regardless, with the August 20 status nights bonus and the renewal 20 status nights bonus I find myself only 4 nights short of the 60 required so will easily get these before years end and be Platinum until Sept 25.

As an aside do the regular Platinum travellers find the value of lounges to be less and more crowded with less service since COVID and the influx of people like me who just don't travel enough to maintain status and would only visit lounges when offered at special rate?

1,500 points for a 1c spend I think I'll manage.

Did you get the 20 bonus nights?

I sent a complaint 10 days ago, regarding the 20 bonus nights for renewal. I received an email on 21/9 saying there was a know IT glitch and they are working to post the bonus nights row renewal.

I have not received my renewal bonus nights yet.

Yes, 20 status nights in the account.

I never received any SNU upgrades when I renewed platinum last year. I actually never thought very much about them until recently I was going to give them a call and overnight they have arrived in my account - possibly that was part of the it glitches as well. These ones though expire at the end of next year and I've already qualified for platinum (on my own) for 2024. So it might be part of that renewal already but since they sometimes hard to get I don't really worry about it.

Has anyone tried using their Accor Plus dining discount for buffet breakfast in Singapore? It seems to work in Australia but wasn't quite sure for Singapore.

Typical, I signed up for ‘plus’, paid with points at the reduced rate, just received an email from amex offering free membership. :)

Sorry, as usual I got it all wrong as per my post below. :(

“Went to logon to have a look, should have known it wasn’t correct, it’s not a platinum card and I get a message stating that my card “doesn’t have any benefits that require enrolment.”

So no idea why I was sent the original email. :)

Platinum qantas card.

Interesting. If it's a fully fledged membership with Stay Plus night, you might consider opening a new ALL account and taking the comp membership just for the free night...

Edit: Would you be able to link to the card? Is it a personal or business card?

Platinum qantas card.
Is that the Qantas AmEx Ultimate Card? I don't see a Qantas Platinum card (direct with AmEx)... considering a primary card change next year and this might tip the favour further towards that card

Apologies to all.

the status nights would be delivered in 20 days

Just confirming 20 days was my experience... I paid for ALL PLUS Voyageur on the 7th Sept and received the 20 status nights last Wednesday, the 27th Sept

So my original email said I would get 20 bonus nights for being an Accor Plus member and I would get an additional 20 bonus nights when I renewed my membership.

I have received 20 bonus night but don't know if this is the original promo or for renewal of membership. I have emailed various teams who say they are working on it. But as yet only the original 20 nights.

Has anyone that has renewed recently received both lots of bonus nights e.g. 40 nights?

My husband has Accor Plus via his Amex Platinum card. He received 20 nights just after the promo was announced and another 20 in early August when Amex renewed his membership.
It has been a no brainer to book 20 nights this year to achieve Accor All Platinum which will be handy for quite a few significant stays next year.

I notice Accor Plus offering 10% discount on Y and J Qatar flights until March. No use to me as I would never ever fly Qatar but maybe we will see a similar offer with other airlines.
