Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Same for me. I'll be interested to see what happens on the 30th of Dec, which will be 1 month in.
I think the next automatic crediting will work normally however what I am worried about is the 4 month bonus points, as this is a manual credit I wonder if they will turn up or will turn up at the 5 month mark and I'll have to chase up the final bonus point payment this time next year. If there is one thing we can count on it's gremlins in the Accor IT system ;)

I need to sneak in a stay before the 31st December to get gold for the next 12 months as I anticipate a lot of travel in 2025. I did see it earlier and can't find it of participating hotels. I'd hate to pay to stay somewhere and it's not valid.

It their participating it will show your benefits on the booking screen, in Adelaide they are all participating

Apologies if this has been asked before, I have searched the forum but cannot find it if it has.

Am I able to make a booking at the member rate (I’m A+) for another person if I’m not staying at the hotel with them? I want to book a stay for my Sister and partner as a gift.

No

Usually putting their names in the additional guests area works, or in the comments area as a second guest, they will be able to check in and then you can forget to turn up ;)

I never know how exactly (or whether) it works but one Accor+ feature included in the membership is 3x Member for A Day certificate per year. I have a vague recollection that the holder of the certificates is eligible for the membership benefits (notably and hopefully not limited to dining benefits). Please explore if you are keen.

Thanks, I will look into this.

Just received message: Congratulations! You have now achieved Accor+ Platinum status till 25/09/2025🎉🥳🍾
Congrats! And also, if you only just attained it (or did anytime in 2024), then you are locked in until at least 31-Dec-2025, and then out to the end of September 2026, if you renew A+ before your membership year ends in Sep 2025.

Cheers,
Matt.

I added Mr Flyfrequently for bookings this year at Movenpick Melbourne and The Olsen in South Yarra as I had prior commitments and could not join him until very, very late afternoon @markis10 @Cutty
Neither hotel would not allow him to check in, so I had to do the check-in super early (before my lunch commitments)
I would try for member for a day certificate as that does allow dining benefits and room rates - though have read here can have issue with RHR rates.

I wish you luck @Cutty and if you have a positive outcome would be pleased to hear.

This is pretty much completely incorrect for every Accor hotel.
All other chains it may work fine but I have heard many stories of people being refused, or having to wait, etc at various Accor hotels in this situation.
For Accor the best rule is the booking party must check in

In the past I have phoned the hotel and advised them that we will be arriving at different times and that my +1 will be arriving at the normal check-in time and that I will be arriving late and ensuring they have either my CC number or hers. Never had a problem

It’s worked over 15 times for me as a Plat the last twenty years, no issues, always on prepaid rates and doing the OLCI. Guest given card, no paperwork or cc required. As always YMMV
