Accor Plus Membership Discussion

It does stay the same, but if the booking was made with a Gold number, I've seen properties see the 7th digit and only provide Gold benefits even when the I'd moved up to Plat before the stay.

So I did later that day. The entire process took 20 minutes with the receptionist getting their manager to come out. It turns out there were no less than seven different membership numbers in my booking profile.

After discussion they removed all but my current number.

There was no issue getting complimentary breakfast the third morning.

Hmmmm... I wonder if that accounts for my generally disappointing 'reception' as a Play in Europe recently? All bookings made when I was silver, stayed when Plat. Can't be bothered correlating those stays when I contacted them beforehand or not.

Next run of stays is in Asia Pacific, so hoping for better Accor+ outcomes.

Europe unfortunately is hit and miss for Accor stays unfortunately. We have had some truly wonderful status recognition where you wouldn’t expect it but in general it ranges from poor to average. You should fare much better in SEA

Thanks all for responses on Platinum benefits. Sounds like I’m best to rebook where possible and send some emails where not. The Accor app is now showing “breakfast included” for most rates when I search (where it didn’t when I was Gold) but weirdly not for all. I assume this is another app quirk…

To the best of my knowledge the app or the website don’t distinguish between status when showing “breakfast included” rates

It does, if you look at the rate terms for the rate with complimentary breakfast the conditions are the same as the status benefit, ie it’s to be taken in the lounge if it has one, Fairmont lounges excluded

I’ve only tried not being logged in a couple times and didn’t notice much difference but good to know for people that may be in that situation of moving between tiers

I had a quick question regarding suite night upgrades. I obtained platinum back in Nov 23 and was issues 2 SNUs with an expiry of 30/11/24. I've used these for a booking in 2025.

Now with A+, I received platinum again when my membership renewed. When/would I receive the 2nd set of SNUs for my 24-25 membership?

You won’t get a second set of SNUs, you only get them when you attain by nights or status point, status extension due to A+ doesn’t trigger more.

That'll explain it! Thanks. I recall reading on the forums that it did. Must have been incorrect information.
