Looked it up the other day as we plan to go in July.

Ah that’s better than I thought - just remembered it wasn’t the full benefit.

If you haven’t visited before the rooftop bar at the Hotel des Artes is worth a visit. Good view over the city from there and a much nicer place for a drink than the Sofitel pool bar.
Arguably a better located hotel too - not significant but the Sofitel is a 5-10 minute walk from the livelier streets, the MGallery is right in the thick of it.

hi all, can we pay dining at accor property with accorplus, paying with reward points without staying? (asia pacific)
Best to check with the specific property and F&B outlet. I’ve seen a few on other platforms saying they’ve done this in the past, but I find it hard to believe, given the likely complications involved.

I expect if it were to happen that the bill would need to be settled at the hotel front desk, as the outlets are unlikely to have access to do this. Others might have direct experiences.

Cheers,
Matt.

Has there been a devaluation of the stay plus free night?
Last year we could book the sofitel melbourne for the stay plus, this year, I check around 20 different weekends, 4-8 months in advance and couldn't find a single for free, most asked for $350 payment for the room. When considering breaky not included feels a bit much!
Most other Melbourne properties also requiring a co-payment!

I was able to book it earlier this year @random111 for a weeknight in June, didn't check weekends.

I managed to extract great value this year. Stopping off in BNE for a random night mid-week. Went to book a hotel and they were extortionate. Turns out state of origin is on. Managed to use the free night at the Novotel which was selling for $550/night with no co-payment required.

I have a random free breakfast coupon on my account page. Does anyone know if you have to be staying in the hotel to use it? The T+Cs doesn't mention it.

I've only got 1 stay booked before it expires and that's an Ibis solo stay, so not the best value ...

Hi - from what I can tell, they are only restricted where there is an Accor+ Dining Benefits exception listed. Some restaurants don't allow Accor+ benefits at breakfast, and some require a stay to be able to use the benefits. Safest might be to find the option/s you are considering and maybe also give them a shout to confirm you are ok, before heading in. Let us know how you go - I've got one of these too, and forgot it was there! :)

Here's the Accor+ Dining Benefits exception page: Dining Benefits exceptions

Cheers,
Matt.

No requirement to be staying.

Individual properties apply restrictions based on occupancy.

For instance, at Sofitel Brisbane they’ll accept the free breakfast vouchers Monday-Friday but not on weekends.

I might get on the phone and ask the individual hotels - there's 3 close to home who participate in the dining benefits. Shall report back!

Hi folks - I’ve not used the StayPlus benefit before now, but looking at using for a singular night later in the year at Pullman BNE Airport. It’s not available right now… but does inventory come and go with these nights?

It’s been on sale for this date including Red Hot rates a couple of times, and the regular price hasn’t moved. Weekends around it are available with the regular rate at the same level. I’m locked into the night I need and prefer to stay near the airport, but may end up moving into town if I can’t secure it. Not going to waste the StayPlus on the Ibis or even Novotel (which is a bit far away to be an airport hotel anyway). Thoughts?

Cheers,
Matt.

Sorry, I don't have anything useful to add other than I'm burning my StayPlus night at the "airport" Novotel next month. Pullman wasn't available and also happens to be state of origin night, so it's still saving me $500. I can report back on the hotel after if that's of any help.
