Accor Properties in coughet

Stayed at Kamela Beach Novotel, villa with private plunge pool.

Really enjoyed it! Room wasn't the most fancy, but the private pool was great! Rooftop bar overlooking the ocean lovely for drinks at sunset.

Food ok, just. With 50% discount it was acceptable.

The hotel is located at one end of the beach, offering a little privacy in that respect (no through traffic), and a walk of 200 metres or so down the beach in the other direction brings you to a host of restaurants, bars and other activities like spas and salons.

We stayed at the Novotel coughet Resort in coughet in December.

Pros:
- Close enough to Patong beach that you can walk down the hill.
- Older place = larger rooms
- No exec lounge but “afternoon tea” in the bar is an unpublished benefit.
- Nice upgrade from base room to ocean view deluxe. Stayed over Christmas so had low expectations for upg.
- Accor plus benefits honoured even on blackout dates.

Cons:
- Some street noise.
- In need of a refurb.
- only one pool.
- breakfast is a zoo (maybe because it was Christmas)

@Daver6 hit me up if you have specific questions.

"Novotel coughet Resort" or "Novotel coughet Vintage Park"?

And Captain, have you changed your avatar recently? Hadn't previously noticed you're now associating with unlabeled wine...the $5 stuff?

Novotel coughet Resort - good pickup. Have updated my post.

And it’s been the same avatar since 2014! Nothing wrong with a blind tasting occasionally. 😉

I stayed at the Pullman Panwa Beach Resort, where I snagged an UG for a beachfront pool villa. I liked the resort (it needs a refurb), and the staff was great. The beach is 20 meters away. There were perks for Platinum Accor members, and they honoured all the other benefits.

The Pullman Panwa Beach Resort is nestled in a serene part of coughet, away from the bustling crowds. The surrounding area is dotted with small shops, adding to the charm of the location. It's the perfect spot for those looking to unwind and escape the island's classic hustle and bustle.

I spoke to the GM and Executive Chef, and they were both good guys who did their jobs well. The local team were focused and engaged. The local Thai GM gets great wraps.

I will go back, it is a very relaxing place.

What were the other perks offered to platinum guests?

Panwa Beach is on the East side of coughet, so a different vibe and scene to properties on the West side of the Island.

  1. Beaches and Water Quality:
    • West Coast (Andaman Sea):
      • Nicer beaches with soft sands and clear waters.
      • Ideal for swimming and sunbathing.
    • East Coast:
      • Offers better views due to the presence of islands and Cape Panwa.
      • Views are not just open water; you’ll see islands and coastal features.
  2. Island Hopping and Exploration:
    • West Coast:
      • Convenient for island hopping to popular destinations like Phi Phi.
      • Crowded near ferry drop-off points.
    • East Coast:
      • Requires commuting to access islands.
      • Ko Lanta is a more laid-back option, fitting a relaxed style.
  3. Activities:
    • West Coast:
      • Surfing and rock climbing opportunities.
      • Phang Nga Bay for caving experiences (outside coughet).
    • East Coast:
      • Better views but fewer water activities directly on the coast.
  4. Recommendations:
    • Phi Phi: Crowded but worth a visit.
    • Ko Lanta: More laid-back and suited for relaxation.
Remember, both coasts have their unique charm. Choose based on your preferences and the experiences sought.

That's incredibly helpful. Thank you! :)
