About 10 days ago I stayed at the Novotel Sydney Airport and ate the the restaurant there (Marke) as an Accor+ member. I've checked my Accor statement but haven't seen the points appear yet which I think I would be entitled too. Similarly, I ate at Tesoro last Tuesday and yet haven't seen the points appear.

I know Accor says to wait at least 7 days but was wondering what everyone's experience was with getting those points to stick.

Cheers,

AFAIK the only way to earn on meals is to bill the restaurant charges to your room, the points will then credit in the same statement entry as your room charges. Presenting your Accor Plus card at the register will entitle you to the applicable discount but the restaurant doesn't note down your number for the earning of points etc. Presumably you paid at the restaurant with a CC?

For the Novotel, no that was billed to room, however I did have to speak with front desk as restaurant didn't initially give me the Accor Plus discount. I'm wondering if the manual adjustment they did may have caused this issue? Either way, it's not a huge issue as we're talking about $18 which is probably like 2 Accor points or something, these days! 😂

Has your stay posted? Does the number of points received not include the $18?

My only recent experience with getting points from a restaurant outside a stay took a day. It was just a takeaway coffee and the 3 points rocked up the next day.

Check credit/debit cards on your Accor Account.
Need to link the card to earn points if paying directly in the Restaurant.

Rate I paid for the stay was $124.50 and I'm an Accor Silver. Per the calculator I should earn 237 reward nights on the stay.
Regrettably .. they don't allow us to pair an American Express card for this feature. Only Visa and Mastercard.
I'd put my Mastercard in my profile but it's a debit card and I don't trust saving my debit card anywhere. Perhaps I'll put in my overseas Mastercard credit card as a backup.
