I'll be in Sydney CBD next week and am looking for recommendations on Accor+ restaurants to try for lunch. So far I've tried the restaurant at the Novotel on Darling Harbour and I wasn't too impressed on the quality. Essentially what I'm looking for is an Accor restaurant that has European food (French, Spanish, etc.) that is of good quality, not the "bar" quality often found at many Accor restaurants.

Any recommendations?

Bar Morris at Hotel Morris. Recommend the Italian dinner there, it was nice and good value. Have not had lunch there though (seems to be a more limited sando menu currently).

Sando? Is that ‘sanga’ aka sandwich?

Sounds quirky, but interesting.
I concur - everyone needs to have something to differentiate themselves - here, they've gone with... bread.
I'm considering the Morris for a future staycation, an easier choice with interesting Accor+ friendly dining.

Dixson & Sons @ Porter House was a good bet, but as writing this I've noticed in the Dine Exceptions list...

The Porter House Hotel Sydney – Mgallery – Dixon & Sons – Accor Plus members enjoy 15% off total bill from 1 January 2025

Delta Rue @ Sofitel Wentworth has had some good reviews.

Change of operators from 1 Jan 2025. If it's only 15% dining discount, not worth it.

I too had a great dinner here, but not worth is for 15% off. The prices were quite inflated to account for the previous 50% discount.

I don't know how they can stay a part of Accor and change the rules as they feel like it!

Sounds like the hotel has decided to sell/lease the restaurant to a third party, so it’s not part of the Accor contract. The Accor Plus dining benefit has more holes in it than Swiss cheese, or maybe I should say Emmental.

Ternery at Sofitel Darling Harbour is highly thought of. I've looked inside the restaurant entrance and it looks too much life a cafeteria to my liking (bare wooden tables etc).

Delta Rue sounds very promising and I've made a booking for February.

I have been to Ternery for a few times, all for dinner. Just note that you would have to walk past the bar area to access the dining area (for dinner). Not sure of the restaurant area is open for lunch though
The Ternary is indeed a dinner restaurant - 6pm-10pm Wednesday-Sunday. The bar is open for drinks and an all-day menu from 11am-10.30pm daily.

Thanks everyone for the kind recommendations. We tried the Q Dining one night and my partner wasn't particularly impressed. We ended up going to the Ternary at Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour a few times and once to the Pump House pub at the Novotel on Darling Harbour Square. Both were acceptable particularly given the 50% off discount (photos from those two restaurants respectively):

As for the Sofitel restaurant, we did try that back in February. The food was good, but it was hard justifying spending that type of money (even with the Accor 50% discount) particularly if they're only open for dinner.

Would the 50% A+ discount apply to lunch as well?

The general rule for Accor+ discount is that so long as the restaurant doesn’t appear in the exception list you can enjoy that discount for whatever meal you want be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Now it’s always good practice to inquire if they accept the Accor+ discount first to put them on notice that you intend on using it, but also to confirm that they do in fact accept the discount:

Personally I’ve had lunch at the Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour, the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park and the Novotel Wollongong to name but a few, all with the 50% discount as my partner was dining with me as well. It can be quite the lucrative discount indeed.
