Accor takeover of Mantra group

My mother owns a unit in a Mantra property – but to live in – not to let. Just the other day when we arrived at reception they (Mantra) were heavily promoting "Mantra Plus". They had balloons, cupcakes, and now have signs in the elevator about the benefits. Seems an odd tact to down go if you're going to integrate to Le Club not too far in the future.

The wheels are turning ...there distributions teams are working on getting Mantra properties integrated in to their booking engine. All of their staff now have @accor email addresses. We are being offered 20% of coupon codes to be used at Mantra properties for Accor Plus members ..wheels are returning but Mantra is no small chain..

Not sure when it happened as I haven’t received any emails but was checking online tonight and both Mantra and Peppers are now appear fully integrated. Interesting as just 3 weeks ago we stayed at Peppers Lake Tekapo and it definitely wasn’t eligible for points or status points but it is now. Breakfree hotels and Art Series have been integrated now aswell

The only downside at the moment is they have literally 1 Rate plan loaded for every hotel ...'Semi-Flexible' ..or at least that is what I have seen thus far ..I want all the other ones to appear like Sale, prepaid etc.

I booked a stay at Mantra via the app for last Friday. Silver via Accor plus and no benefits (not that silver gets much anyway) but at least I got points so happy with that.

Ive had less Accor plus stays than past years due to cut backs on work travel, so I was hoping that my mantra stays would credit Accor nights, but despite the annoucnement no merge has happened.

All future stays will credit correctly ...this just changed a couple of days ago.

Agreed it is ridiculous ...should be at least Ibis level if not in between that and the top level. Some of these places are super expensive in the holiday season ...at least Pepeprs and Art series should be at top.

Having stayed at Mantra Coolongatta,Art Series Brisbane and Peppers Airlie Beach in the last 3 months paying top dollar for the privilege I can assure you the rewards returns for these places if not shambolic were a joke at least, the biggest joker in the pack being Mantra Twin Towns Coolongatta because of their lack of benefits given to ALL members
