Accor "Welcome" Gifts for Elites?

Just thought I'd check to see if there is any consensus on what Welcome gift us Accor elites receive for visiting various Accor properties? Thus far, having stayed at Novotel, Ibis and a few other properties as a lowly silver the answer seems to be 2 bottles of water (potentially replenished daily). Is that correct? Do these gifts vary much by property or status level? For instance, would a Diamond checking in to an Ibis receive something more than just two dinky bottles of water?

If it turns out that welcome benefits vary by property and status level, perhaps this thread would be a great opportunity to document what welcome gifts are provided?

I’m not sure there is a thread dedicated to welcome gifts but the “How does Accor treat you as an elite guest” thread often has descriptions and pictures of welcome gifts

I think I’m only silver but seen to get a variety of things - sometimes some water, sometimes fruit, or a couple of good chokkies. Seems to be property dependent

As a Gold I often stay at Ibis Styles and Pullman. Just lately I will recieve 2 bottles of water and usually 2 drink vouchers. Pullman will often have some chokkies in the room

Recently stayed at the Stamford in Singapore and a Mercure in London as a silver.
Stamford was 2 'welcome' drink vouchers however could only be from a specific list, that being said the coughtails weren't too bad and had a bit of a punch not often seen for 'complimentary' drinks.
Mercure in London was 2 bottles of sparkling and a small plate of chocolates and pastries.
Bottles of water replenished daily at both Hotels as well.

Interesting to see Mercure London treat you so well as a lowly Silver. I'm curious if you could comment on whether it was a regular Mercure or a Grand Mercure?

Just a (very) standard Mercure. Was honestly surprised as well, that being said it's not exactly a hotel I'd recommend or stay at again...

That was the impression I get too. At the Grosvenor Adelaide, Ibis Sydney Airport and Novotel Sydney Airport I received the standard 2 bottles of water. However, at the Ibis Styles Melbourne, I got some water, a welcome card with chocolate bonbons. I reckon it's likely a mixture between status level and property. For instance, I would certainly be surprised as a Platinum if I received two bottles of water at the Novotel Sydney Airport. At a minimum I would anticipate a bottle of wine would be the standard welcome gift for a Platinum at such an upscale property. Then again, awarding a bottle of wine to a single traveller might be seen as overkill!

Another hypothesis is the type of welcome gift is loosely tied to the ranking of the hotel you're staying at. For instance, staying at a Luxury hotel like Raffles Singapore will have a much nicer welcome gift than say at a midscale hotel like Mantra on Sydney Airport, irrespective of status level. Thus far, I've only stayed at the 'Economy,' and 'Midscale,' properties. Next month I'm staying at the Pullman Sydney Airport and we'll see what (if any) special treatment I receive as an Accor+Silver there!

There is no rhyme or reason to what gifts you get. As I’ve mentioned before, head to the “How does Accor treat you as an elite guest” thread and have a scroll through it to see a wide variety of properties and experiences with various status levels.
As someone who normally stays 60+ nights per year with Accor at the mid to higher end it can vary between not getting a gift to bottles of wine, platters, chocolates and even other gifts. I’ve often stayed at the same hotel twice in a week and received completely different experiences and that’s as a long time Platinum and Diamond

As what everyone says the welcome gifts vary greatly. I’ve had bottles of wine, chocolates, drink vouchers and even socks given to me (Accor Gold)

Welcome amenities are all over the place, even at the same hotel.

I've been an Accor ALL Platinum for a number of years, and can confirm that the recognition/upgrades/gifts etc can very considerably, and unexpectedly. I'm not greatly fussed by a couple of chocolates or pieces of fruit, and the welcoming drink can range from something very minimal to a choice of anything I'd like from the bar.

I've got a freebie Accor name tag on my backpack, which was spotted by a passing hotel executive in Canberra, then followed by a very speedy queue jump and check-in process. I've had amazing room upgrades in Singapore, the UK and Europe, but also nothing at many Australian locations. Sadly, I've found it's some of the Australian country locations that are the most disappointing.

Coming out of the Covid lockdowns late 2021/early 2022 the gifts were fairly decent, usually a bottle of wine and a plate of snacks in the room. Lately however it's been more along the lines of the small box of slices, or nothing at all.

I've noticed that they don't even provide bottles of water anymore either. At least that's been the case at some of their properties here in Sydney.
