My sincere apology if this has been mentioned here previously. I have a complete list of "using QR via DOH" 3rd zone exceptions that I've shared in various places:

However, it just came to my attention today from this post on flyertalk that at some point recently, S.Pacific <-> Europe via DOH on QR was added to that list-- I was dubious at first:
FlyerTalk Forums - View Single Post - oneworld and Other Airline (Partner) Awards info, rules 2014 on

But, in fact, have since confirmed that this exception has been added, nice!

has it formally been added? Reading that thread it looks like one person was able to ticket the connection in DOH... but it sounds like you have had confirmation directly from source at AA?

Good news.

My confirmation is most definitely not from AA officially, but, is from an AA person who confirmed it's now allowed.

So one can now fly MEL to LHR on QR via DOH for 120K return?
