Add on Travel Insurance

We are going overseas to Europe for 7 months but our platinum card travel insurance only covers us for 6 months. Does anyone know about an add on insurance we can use. I have phoned several companies and they say that they will only cover us if we commence and end the journey in Australia with them. I did get one quote from ANZ who do do this but it was over $700 for 2 weeks. I know that the Commonwealth Bank diamond credit card will cover you for 12 months but that would cost over $400 and we do not want to start another credit card. If anyone knows of a reasonable company that we could use please let me know.

I believe World Nomads do this, you would need to check the specifics on their website based on your country of citizenship.

Not sure it's only about citizenship, when I lived and worked in the UK was able to get travel insurance out of there but didn't have to give up my citizenship to do so!

I just meant that with World Nomads they will cover different things and different circumstances based on your country of citizenship/residence.
