Hi everyone - a bit of a weird one that I could not figure out online as well as call centre waiting times for SQ are shocking.

Does anyone have any view or even experience whether a child (paid) can be added to a redemption ticket booked for myself? I have enough KF for my own ticket but not enough for a second person (child). I assume that I can't buy a standalone ticket "and link the PNRs" for a under 8 year old on SQ.

Any other bright ideas how to get this work?

I did it for a baby. Paid cash for bub and had it linked to a redemption booking. Over the phone though

I think SQ have recently changed this as I booked reward flights a few months back & it allowed me to add an infant at time of booking but this option has since disappeared from the website so I guess you now need to call to add an infant.

It is not possible to online book a child under 11 without an adult added to the booking
that's correct. you have to ring them and book it that way unfortunately, but hey while you're on the phone with them, you can then get them to link the bookings.

I just added an infant earlier this week over the phone.
linked to me, as travelling with me

Anyone have any experience around refunds for infants on Krisflyer bookings...I had linked an infant to my booking (which cost me $276) which I have now had to cancel. Now that I have cancelled my redemption, the receipt details the Miles refunded, plus the net impact of tax/fees refunded or charged...however it is silent on the Infant and there is nothing in the infant ticket that I can see or online about how much (if any) of the $276 I get back?

When I asked recently they said 100% would be refunded of the infant ticket if we cancel our redemption

Im not sure it actually does anything. It's more or less just a note to say passenger B is travelling with passenger B. Does not cary any authority. The separate bookings will remain... separate...
Yes… but… gets around the potential issue of an unaccompanied child. Friends did this with a child (9 yrs) on a separate award booking, Meant no issues prior to departure.

Thanks, ill see how I go...I feel I may have to chase this one
Talking to myself here a little...but pleasingly Singapore Air called today (unprompted) and said they had noticed the infant fare was not refunded and that they would process the request.
Through this process I noticed that another infant booking last year wasn't refunded...which they checked and confirmed and said they would pay = good win from that one too!
