Adding domestic leg to Qantas Rewards flight

No. Agents cannot override minimum connecting times.
One agent did and booked the flight thankfully. So 2 hour and 50 min connection time in melbourne is certainly not a problem . There appears to be way around it for call centre not for us.

I have another strange issue with this booking. I have booking ref and e-ticket numbers . This is points plus pay classic rewards ticket. Points were deducted but the pending qantas charge on credit card has disappeared and call centre says that payment has gone through and they don’t see any issues. I am worried that they will just cancel the tickets when they realise their mistake?

Not an issue if you are flying qantas and anything happens. They can simply reinstate the seats via their yield centre. Don’t need award seats to be available, they’ll create them.

Different issue entirely to having a classic award on a partner airline.
