That Authorization Sydney Aus is an accommodation booking through Expedia

Seems you hit the target no problem.
checking mine, My statement ended 3rd July, yet received my 75k points on 1st July & the velocity 40k points on 3rd July, so if your a week beyond last statement I'd make the westpac call.

On another completely separate issue I've been dumfounded over a "AUTHORIZATION SYDNEY AUS" transaction on my account, checked everything, spoke to credit card company about it & only option was to basically cancel / put on hold the card to some degree......now you helped me, it was an Expedia booking I had, bugger me, thanks for that unintentional help, was so close to investigating the transaction & having the card void or whatever they do. Gee wizz, silly me!

Called westpac yesterday, both the accounts team and rewards team agreed that I have met the criteria for the bonus points to land. They said the terms and conditions state that it could take up to 60days to land but they will submit a case for the internal team to investigate and get back to me within 5 business days.
I'll follow up next week. Hopefully I won't have to and they will action it or get back to me.. unlike Qantas customer service...

Got the 75k transferred to my velocity account 31/07/22 - I think they did this manually.
Now, how do I contact Velocity to get my bonus 40k?

I hope I don't have to do this for my partners card..

ah gee your half way there, wait couple days if Velocity acts cos they've seen or had a system in place that recognised Westpac's deposit of points.

I closed my account today, will wait until it shows as closed in credit report or at least get the letter confirming closure then apply for another in couple months.

Has anyone applied with AMEX? I've hit the target like 4 weeks ago but I haven't received the 120k bonus points or the 40k bonus points yet. Anyone had a similar experience?

Great to hear. Even better to hear things worked out.
Enjoy your flights & the Virgin lounge experience.
Yes, thanks, @MooTime. I totally forgot about the credit until I saw your post. I filled in the form last week and received a travelbank email today confirming the credit.

Still nothing. I think it is time to contact Velocity.
Phone call or email would be sufficient?

I'm a call kinda guy, find I get to the point lot quicker, even if a hold period.

your call, (pardon the pun).

I got an Amex business card. The 150K bonus hit velocity on 19 July (noting I spent the minimum required amount in that first billing cycle). I selected 40K bonus before applying but still don’t have these. Have set a reminder to follow up on 19 Sep

My experience with Westpac Black card when I made the required spend in the first month:

Selected the bonus 40k benefit on mine and the status benefit on my partner's account.
Forgot to apply for a card at the time, but partner recently applied for the Westpac Velocity platinum.

She received the trial gold upon completing the minimum spend. So, if you activated the offer, but haven't applied, it might be worth a try. Not sure if it is limited to Westpac or others are similar.

Also, to my surprise, I got my 40k bonus as well. Perhaps because I had family pooling setup, it recognized it as my card bonus somehow?

Does anyone happen to have a copy of the confirmation email? Velocity is asking me to email them a copy but I've unfortunately deleted it. Been a bit of a headache chasing this up

IIRC the emails were hit and miss - some people never received them but were assured they would get the bonuses. Were you within time? It is almost October and you are chasing a bonus that most of us got in June or July.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but how does the timing for the travel voucher work?
Do they set an expiry based on the date that you request the voucher from virgin? Or is the expiry based on your CC membership date? Or velocity membership year? Or is there no expiry?

Thank you

You have to request it within the CC membership year. It is a Travel Bank credit with 6 month validity. I used it last week and very easy to use.
